Online Focus Groups

Digital Kids online focus groups

Barbie Clarke has been researching children’s use of social networking sites and mobile phones at the University of Cambridge since 2006. With colleagues she has developed existing online focus group technology to run our online focus groups, bulletin boards and blogs with children from 10 years old. The increasing availability of broadband in children’s homes, plus children’s familiarity with Instant Messaging and Social Networking Sites has meant that our Digital Kids Online Focus Groups can produce fast results, and sometimes children and young people find it easier to share their thoughts and feelings online rather than in person. Discussion Point online focus groups

Similar to Digital Kids but groups or bulletin boards are held with adults, especially parents and grandparents, teachers and stakeholders. For examples we have successfully held online focus groups over week-ends, providing strong, emotive and enlightening responses from mums, dads, grandparents who are pleased to be asked their opinions, but who can find it easier to express their thoughts, opinions, feelings and emotions online. Please call Julia or Barbie for more details on +44 (0)1923 858438.
