Family Kids & Youth to launch its 2020 Wellbeing and the Internet research
FK&Y is to carry out the third wave of our Wellbeing and the Internet research this month, looking at how children and young people are engaging online, how it affects their mental health and what apps, social media and gaming sites they are using. Launched in 2018 the research aims to give a regular picture of how 7-16 year olds use the internet to forge relationships, learn about new apps and means of communication, what makes them happy and what concerns them, and how engaged they feel their carers/parents are with their online communication. This time the research will be held during lockdown in the UK and can compare data from 2019 and 2018 to explore how use and attitude has been affected by the current situation where children and young people are away from friends, school and extended family. The focus groups will be held online and can be viewed by clients, and the online quantitative research will be run once again with our panel partner Panelbase. The research is a syndicated study, and clients can add their own bespoke questions to both the quantitative and the qualitative research.
